A cat refuses to be left behind

When suitcases appear, a cat decides to join the family’s vacation—only to discover that the destination is not what it expected. The story turns a familiar travel-day moment into a comic predicament, with the cat’s changing surroundings raising the question of how it will get home. Kristen Tracy’s picture book centers on the attachment between cats and their people, especially when that affection takes the form of clingy companionship.

Book overview

Don't Leave is an absolutely hiss-terical picture book that lovingly celebrates cat companions, even when they are at their clingiest. Fans of Cat Problems and Mother Bruce will not want to miss this standalone follow-up to I Quit!

Once, I was the center of everything.

Until . . . the suitcases came out. Why would they want to go anywhere without me? So I did a very sensible thing. I joined the vacation. Except . . . Sniff. Sniff. Sniff. I did not end up at the beach. And it didn't smell quite like the forest. Perhaps I was a city cat now?

Ugh. How will I get out of this mess? Read my story to find out.
