A family dog with a breath problem

Hally Tosis is a much-loved family dog whose bad breath puts her place in the household at risk. Her children try a series of breath-related outings and activities to solve the problem, but none changes the situation. The premise turns a familiar pet-and-family dilemma into wordplay-driven humor, with the children’s efforts to keep Hally at home providing the story’s central thread. This edition presents the story in board-book format, making it available to younger readers as well as for shared reading aloud.

Book overview

From Dav Pilkey, author and illustrator of the New York Times bestselling Dog Man and Captain Underpants series, comes Dog Breath -- now available as a board book!

Hally Tosis is a great family dog, but there is one rotten thing about her: her breath! It is so smelly, Hally's pet parents want to find a new home for her. The children, desperate to keep their beloved pet, try everything to rid Hally of her stinky stench. They take her for a breathtaking view, a movie that would leave her breathless, and a ride on a roller coaster that would make her lose her breath, but Hally's putrid panting persists! Only a miracle could save her now!

This fan-favorite read-aloud is now available as a board book for the first time! At last, the very youngest readers can enjoy Dav Pilkey's hysterical story.
