A film retelling paired with the art behind it

Lilo’s difficulty fitting in and Stitch’s origins as a creature made for destruction set up a story about an unlikely bond and the value of ‘ohana. Alongside the retelling, the book includes development art from the original Disney Studio artists, with captions explaining how the images contributed to the film. That combination gives the volume two points of interest: the familiar story and a look at how its characters and world were explored visually.

Good fit for readers who enjoy

  • Children ages 9–12 interested in the Lilo & Stitch story.
  • Lilo & Stitch fans who enjoy illustrated retellings.
  • Readers curious about concept art and the visual development of animated films.
