A demon threat leads Grubbs Grady back to an old foe

As Shadow gathers a demonic army, Grubbs Grady and his team pursue a lead that brings them into conflict with the Lambs, an enemy from their past. The supplied description also foregrounds werewolves and Grubbs’s continuing struggle with the wolf within him, tying the larger threat to a personal source of danger. Those elements place the book’s conflict across two fronts: the search for answers about Shadow’s plans and the peril posed by creatures connected to Grubbs’s own transformation.

Good fit for readers who enjoy

  • Teens and young adults interested in fantasy involving demons and werewolves.
  • Readers who enjoy stories about a team investigating a growing supernatural threat.

"We spot the werewolves as we skim the treetops. Mutated, vicious, hairy monstrosities, all fangs, claws and muscles. The beast within me tries to force its way to the surface, howling silently at its warped brethren. I've never rid myself of the wolf..."
