Curious George’s first adventure
This anniversary edition presents the story that introduces Curious George and the man in the yellow hat. George leaves the jungle for a new home, but his curiosity leads him into a series of mishaps and escapades, including a swim in the ocean, an escape from jail, and a ride aloft with balloons. The description sets up a simple through-line: George tries to behave, yet his curiosity keeps turning ordinary situations into adventures. As an early entry in a children’s-fiction classic, it offers a compact introduction to the character and the mischievous situations associated with him.
