A day on the range with Cowboy Small

Cowboy Small’s day on the range is organized around care and companionship: he looks after his horse, Cactus, who in turn helps him round up cattle. The description also places everyday ranch activities alongside communal evening rituals, including a chuck-wagon meal, singing with friends, and sleeping beneath the stars. This board-book edition presents abridged text with full-color versions of Lois Lenski’s original illustrations, bringing the classic picture book into a format for young children.
