A mission beyond the city walls

On the distant planet of Ares, a walled city stands beside a Wilderness inhabited by strange creatures. When young soldier Lt. Jakob Daedalus uncovers a rebel plot while guarding a politician, the conflict sends him beyond the city with DEC, his robot protector. The journey brings together military danger, alien-world exploration, and questions about the planet’s mysteries, as Jakob searches for the rebel force threatening his home. The setup places the story firmly in young adult space opera, with its stakes rooted in both survival beyond the walls and the defense of a vulnerable community.
