Three creature-centered adventures in one anthology

This anthology brings together three short novels featuring vampires, werewolves, and insects transformed by magic. In “Battie Baddie,” Velvet and Georgie set out to recover Georgie’s stolen bats, the source of vampire powers in their world. “How To Werewolf” shifts to Wendy, a 25-year-old drawn into mentoring a young werewolf pup and facing the demands of wolf society. In “Spider Prince & Moth Guard,” a jumping spider’s encounter with an interdimensional witch changes the bugs around him and sets a rescue mission in motion. The collection uses a novel-and-script hybrid format, combining fantasy adventures with themes of responsibility, protection, and testing limits.

Book overview

Laugh, cry, cheer, and gasp, and come back wanting more. Dive into three short novels about Vampires, Werewolves, and Creepy Crawly Bugs that are light, fun, riveting, and dynamic.

Chomp: An anthology of short novels, includes Battie Baddie, How To Werewolf, and Spider Prince & Moth Guard. All three stories offer the reader action, adventure, emotion, and depth which is all jam packed in a unique novel-and-script-hybrid format. What does that mean? It means you're going for a ride.

In the world of Battie Baddie, Vampires get their powers through their magical bats which they receive once a year on their bat day. Velvet has nine, and Georgie has four hundred, or at least he HAD four hundred bats before Pierce the Ugly stole them all from him at the annual Ren Fair. Now, Velvet and Georgie are on a quest to get Georgie's bats back, but they'll need a little help from the Vampires they meet along the way.

In How To Werewolf, Wendy is a typical good hearted but directionless 25-year-old that spends her days playing video games and tending to her grandparent's chickens while they're away. That all changes when a young pup falls into her lap and decides she should be his new mentor in the way of the Werewolf. Practically thrown into this world of Werewolves, Wendy must prove herself to the Alphas, survive Demetre, train Skipper, and might even fall in love with Ashton.

Everyone has a little magic inside of them, even a small jumping spider. In Spider Prince & Moth Guard, a jumping spider stands up against an interdimensional cloud witch and accidentally turns them both into half bug, half human creatures. Oh, and he accidentally did the same thing to all the bugs in the surrounding area. With the witch after him, the Spider Prince needs the help of his Moth Guard to save the bugs, and more importantly the world, from the once cloud monster, now Goliath Beetle, interdimensional threat.
