The fifth volume brings the 6th and 7th Squads together in a rescue effort after Yuuki is taken by Aoba, his long-lost sister. Learning more about Aoba and her allies gives Yuuki a reason to seek an end to their hostility with the Demon Defense Force, but the groups’ opposing ideals push the confrontation toward battle. The volume’s central tension is therefore both personal and factional: Yuuki must navigate family ties and competing allegiances while trying to prevent further conflict.
