AlbakiReads Editorial

A Southwest bedtime in rhyme

Bedtime takes shape through the antics of Southwest animals, with children included in the familiar reluctance to settle down when Mama calls. The book’s rhyming lullaby frames its humor around the things not to do at bedtime, giving the critters’ behavior a playful connection to a child’s own routine. Its regional animal cast and bedtime theme bring together a sense of place and a recognizable end-of-day moment.
