Toilet training as a mission

Donald Lemke frames toilet training as a playful military-style mission, turning the steps from using the toilet to washing hands into a sequence of objectives. The description also uses rank promotions to mark each success, giving the routine a clear game-like structure. The book centers on everyday bathroom skills, presented through comic action language rather than as a plain instructional checklist.

Good fit for readers who enjoy

  • Children ages 4–8 beginning toilet training
  • Families seeking a playful framing for bathroom routines
  • Young readers who enjoy mission and rank-based play

Book overview

Transform toilet training into an action-packed, fun-filled mission! There comes a time when every toddler must answer the call -- the call of doodie! Their mission: identify the target (the toilet), open fire (pee and poo), and make a clean getaway (wash those hands). With each success, little soldiers move up the ranks, from rookie privates to full-fledged poo-tenants!
