Algebra and geometry, introduced through characters

Algebra and geometry take shape here as a cast of mathematical characters, from Polygon and Plane to Odd Number, Even Number, and the trio Sine, Cosine, and Tangent. The book uses their introductions to present concepts and facts across both subjects, pairing short first-person text by Dan Green with Simon Basher’s character illustrations. This approach gives abstract topics a recognizable cast while keeping the focus on mathematical ideas. The edition is described as having a refreshed look and updated facts, and the book is positioned for use at home or in school.
