A bath-time battle in full color

Getting Bad Kitty into the bathtub becomes the organizing challenge of this graphic novel. Its bath-day checklist escalates from ordinary supplies—water and towels—to comic precautions such as armor and an ambulance, framing the task as a mock adventure. The setup centers on the familiar prospect of a cat resisting a bath, with the book’s humor built around that escalating preparation and the hoped-for arrival of soap. The full-color edition presents the story in graphic-novel form, making the bath routine the backdrop for a playful clash between Kitty and an unwanted wash.

Good fit for readers who enjoy

  • Children ages 9–12 interested in cat-centered fiction

Book overview

Bad Kitty must get a bath in this full color graphic novel in Nick Bruel's New York Times bestselling series.

The following are some items you will need for Kitty's bath: one bathtub, plenty of water, dry towels, a suit of armor, a letter to your loved ones, clean underwear (because stressful situations can cause "accidents"), an ambulance in your driveway with the engine running, and, oh, yeah, you'll also need Kitty...but good luck with that!

Kitty is at her worst in this riotous book filled with bad smells, cautionary tales of horror, and hopefully by the end...some soap. The funniest of any of Kitty's adventures, though don't tell her that.

The phenomenally successful Bad Kitty series is purr-fect for fans of Dav Pilkey's Dog Man and John Patrick Green's InvestiGators series, reluctant readers, comic book fans, and cranky cats alike.
