A rhyming walk through the neighborhood
Everyday neighborhood activity—bread baking and a school bus sounding its horn—sets the scene for a walking tour of a community. The rhyming text introduces the people who fill that shared setting, while Leo Timmers’s illustrations include details and recurring characters to spot across the pages. Together, words and pictures make the neighborhood itself the organizing thread of the book.
