Crystal Ambrose, in parts one through three of this series has inadvertently involved herself in a major organized crime syndicate, known as the Company. She only wanted to save her fledgling mortgage brokerage after the financial catastrophe of 2008 but found herself, through some creative larceny, in the middle of a money laundering scheme. Not one to pass up an opportunity, after the Company recognizes her talents Crystal accepts an offer to manage the books and quickly becomes an indispensable asset.

Upper management will find out they may have a tiger by the tail, as Crystal finds it difficult to play second fiddle when she sees greater power and wealth on the horizon.
