A Christmas carol becomes a parade

In Jinglewood, the Big Christmas Parade takes its theme from “The 12 Days of Christmas.” Familiar images from the song—doves, leaping lords and dancing maids—become parade floats, with Santa arriving at the end. The book brings the song’s accumulating cast into a festive town procession, pairing the parade premise with detailed, humorous artwork. Its connection to a New York parade tradition gives the celebration a real-world point of reference.
