AlbakiReads Editorial

A welcome for a long-awaited baby

Written as a message from parents to their new child, the book connects the wait to become pregnant with the family’s sense of readiness to welcome a baby. Its central gesture is an ode to the child and to the person they may become, making the arrival a point of reflection on what the parents learned along the way. The family-centered premise keeps the focus on anticipation, welcome, and the bond between parent and child.

Good fit for readers who enjoy

  • A fit for families introducing a new baby to very young children.
  • Relevant to parents who want a picture book centered on a long-awaited child and family welcome.
