A bear mistaken for Santa

Bruce is a bear, a grump, a cook, and a mother—but not Santa. In this Christmas installment of the Mother Bruce series, the forest’s mix-up sends animals to him with their holiday wishes. The premise pairs seasonal wish-making with the series’ recurring comic situation: Bruce caught up in something he never set out to be. The book is presented as a picture-book story for shared reading, with Christmas and mistaken identity at its center.

Good fit for readers who enjoy
