Rosh Hashanah through family traditions

Leah Weber’s board book introduces Rosh Hashanah through a Jewish family’s holiday gathering. Apples and honey, the sound of the shofar, and time spent together give young children concrete points of entry into the celebration. The book connects the Jewish New Year with family, tradition, and hopes for the year ahead, in a format described as colorful and made for little hands. Part of the Our Neighborhood series, it also places Jewish family life within a collection celebrating children’s cultures.

Good fit for readers who enjoy
