We are taught at a young age to speak up and share our point of view, broadcast our skills and accomplishments, and make sure our presence is felt. As adults, we read books on how to effectively present ourselves, outline our rationale, and effectively debate points of view all in a manner to try and influence others. These loud and proud techniques have bolstered their dominance as society moves through a fundamental shift in routine communications now primarily delivered electronically via social media. The loud and proud methodology could not be further from the truth on how to have a lasting, positive impact on others.
