A bedtime introduction to the Creation story

A child’s question about how everything began becomes the starting point for a family reading about the seven days of Creation. The story moves through the making of light, sky, land and seas, celestial bodies, animals, and the first man and woman, connecting the biblical account with the child’s own sense of being created. Presented in English and Spanish, it brings together bedtime reading, conversation, and prayer, with a focus on Christian ideas of creation and worship.

Good fit for readers who enjoy

  • Families seeking a Christian picture book for bedtime reading and prayer.
  • Young children beginning to encounter the biblical Creation story.
  • English- and Spanish-speaking households looking for a bilingual story.

Book overview

Each night, a young girl snuggles close as her daddy reads, talks, and prays with her. But one evening she asks a big question: "Who made everything. . . and how did it begin?"

Daddy guides her through the seven days of Creation-light, sky, land and seas, the sun and moon, animals, and finally the first man and woman. With gentle rhyme and rich imagery, he shows her that the God who formed the world with care also lovingly created her.

Told in English and Spanish, this warm bedtime story invites families to pause, wonder, and worship together-celebrating God's creativity and the truth that He made everything, including you.
