Llama Llama’s first night away

A visit with Gram and Grandpa brings a new experience for Llama Llama: spending the night away from home and Mama. The story moves from the excitement of packing and enjoying time with his grandparents to a bedtime snag when a familiar comfort is missing. Grandpa helps find a solution, bringing the story back to the reassurance of settling in for the night. The visit gives young readers a simple frame for thinking about first overnight stays and the comfort routines that can travel with them.
