Ramadan, service, and a young Muslim’s growing faith

Set during Leila Khan’s first full Ramadan in Istanbul, the novel brings together Quran study, family challenges, and the practical work of organizing ifṭār meals for people in need. As doubts and setbacks complicate her charitable efforts, Leila’s story connects religious devotion with patience, sacrifice, and compassion. Ramadan is both the setting and the framework for a young person’s reflection on how faith is practiced in community.
