A practical counterpoint to instant-language promises

With a deliberately satirical title, this short guide challenges advertising that promises quick language mastery with little effort. Its focus is on making learning efforts more effective and avoiding common sources of frustration and disappointment. The description presents the book as guidance for both people developing their own language skills and those seeking to improve their language teaching. It is framed around adult language learning, with the author’s experience as a teacher, adult educator, and language learner informing its perspective.
