Coloring designs inspired by original paintings

Irina Velman’s 66-page coloring book combines traditional outlined designs with grayscale images that include tonal values and shading. That mix gives the pages two different approaches to coloring: working within linear forms or using existing light and shadow as guidance. The designs are described as detailed without being overly complex, and each is printed on one side of the page. Images of the source paintings appear on the back cover as color references, while blank pages at the end provide space to practice techniques. The book is framed as an accessible creative activity for adults, with both beginners and experienced colorists in mind.

Good fit for readers who enjoy

  • Adults beginning to explore coloring or drawing-inspired activities
  • Experienced colorists interested in detailed designs and grayscale shading
  • Colorists who value one-sided pages and space to practice techniques
