An unlucky student meets a girl with a dangerous secret
Set in Academy City, where students have superpowers, the story centers on Touma Kamijou, whose own unusual ability is a supernatural streak of bad luck. His effort to keep a low profile is disrupted when he meets Index, bringing new complications and danger into his life. This opening manga volume pairs a superpowered-city premise with the collision between an ordinary student’s wishes and an increasingly difficult situation.
