A selection from the Ethiopian biblical tradition

This volume brings together 20 books that the publisher describes as absent from the Protestant Bible. The selection includes Enoch, Esdras, Buruch, and the three Books of Meqabyan, placing these texts at the center of its presentation of the Ethiopian Bible. The description also identifies Ge’ez as the language associated with that tradition. Its emphasis is on the breadth of the collection and on works that differ from the 66-book Protestant canon; it does not provide details about translation, annotations, or the arrangement of the texts.

Good fit for readers who enjoy

  • People seeking a selection of books associated with the Ethiopian Bible.
  • Readers comparing biblical canons and interested in texts outside the Protestant Bible.
