A global photoessay collection pairing images with place-based reflections
Assignment World brings together photographs of people and places from around the world, with each image accompanied by a short essay-statement addressing the location, its inhabitants, or the situation pictured. Presented in a coffee-table format, the book is organized around individual visual encounters rather than a single continuous narrative. Its combination of documentary-oriented subjects and standalone photographs makes it suited to browsing as well as display, while the accompanying text supplies context and reflection for each image.
