Sa magandang bayan ng Montalbano Jonico, kung saan sumasayaw ang mga puno ng olibo sa ilalim ng araw, nanaginip si Sofia ng kayamanang kakaiba.

"A golden olive, shiny and bright, hidden away from everyone's sight!" her dream whispered.

"Isang ginintuang olibo, makintab at maningning, nakatago mula sa paningin ng lahat!" bulong ng kanyang panaginip. Her playful dog, Reggy, wagged his tail with glee.
